Assurix Trustmark: Why Independent Proof Matters When Choosing an IT Partner

When businesses choose an IT provider, they’re placing an enormous amount of trust in that relationship. You’re giving someone access to your systems, your data, your security, and the technology your business depends on every day. That’s why I’m incredibly proud to share that TechWyse has achieved the Assurix trustmark, becoming just the seventh managed service provider (MSP) in the UK to do so!

Achieving this trustmark from Assurix is a fantastic milestone for our team, but more importantly, it’s good news for our clients. It provides independent proof that we’re meeting high standards for security, governance, and operational excellence through continuous assessment, not just a one-off audit.

As an IT company in Essex, we’ve always believed that trust should be earned through actions, not marketing claims. That’s exactly why the Assurix trustmark appealed to us.

What is the Assurix trustmark?

The Assurix trustmark is one of the IT industry’s newest independent standards for managed service providers. Unlike many certifications that assess a business at a single point in time, the Assurix trustmark provides continuous, independently verified assurance that an MSP is maintaining high standards across both cybersecurity and service delivery.

To achieve the standard, providers must demonstrate that they meet 64 separate controls covering two key areas:

  • Security assurance, including areas such as privileged access, patch management, backup integrity and incident response.
  • Operational maturity, including service delivery, documentation, change management and governance.

What makes the Assurix trustmark particularly different is that it isn’t simply awarded and forgotten. Providers continue to be assessed, and if standards slip, the trustmark can be publicly suspended until issues are resolved. That means businesses don’t just receive promises; they receive ongoing, independently verified proof.

Why we wanted the Assurix trustmark

Over the years, we’ve invested heavily in delivering outstanding IT support in Essex. We’ve built our reputation on long-term relationships, honest advice, and helping businesses use technology to grow with confidence.

We already hold recognised certifications including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus, and we’re incredibly proud of those achievements.

But the Assurix trustmark offered something different.

Business owners are increasingly being asked by customers, insurers, auditors and supply chain partners to demonstrate that their own suppliers are operating securely. Traditional certifications remain valuable, but they’re often point-in-time assessments. The Assurix trustmark provides continuous verification, giving organisations greater confidence that the standards they expect are being maintained every day.

For me, that’s exactly where our industry should be heading.

Proof, not promises

One phrase from Assurix really stood out to me: proof, not promises.

It’s a philosophy that reflects how we’ve always tried to run TechWyse.

Anyone can say they’re reliable. Anyone can claim they care about cyber security or customer service. But when you’re responsible for protecting another business, those claims should be backed up with evidence.

The Assurix trustmark gives our clients exactly that.

Instead of simply asking businesses to trust us, we’re inviting them to see that independent verification for themselves. It reinforces our own values of being Trusted, Talented and Transparent, while demonstrating our commitment to continually improving the services we provide.

What this means for our clients

As an IT company in Essex, our goal has never been to collect certificates for the sake of it.

Everything we do should make life easier, safer and more productive for the businesses we support.

The Assurix trustmark gives our clients another level of reassurance. It confirms that the systems, processes and operational standards we’ve built aren’t just internal aspirations; they’ve been independently assessed against a recognised framework designed specifically for managed service providers.

For organisations that need to demonstrate supply chain security, satisfy customer due diligence requests, or simply have greater confidence in their IT partner, that’s becoming increasingly valuable.

It’s another way of helping our clients reduce risk while creating the headspace to focus on running and growing their business.

Raising the bar for IT support in Essex

I’m incredibly proud that TechWyse is one of the first seven MSPs in the UK to achieve the Assurix trustmark.

Being among the early adopters isn’t about claiming we’re finished. Quite the opposite.

Technology evolves. Cyber threats evolve. Client expectations evolve.

We believe great IT support in Essex means continually improving rather than standing still, and that’s exactly what this trustmark encourages.

Our team works hard every day to deliver responsive IT support services, proactive advice and practical technology solutions that genuinely help businesses succeed. Independent recognition like this simply provides further reassurance that the standards we work to every day are being recognised externally too.

Looking ahead

Achieving the Assurix trustmark is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, but it’s certainly not the finish line.

We’ll continue investing in our people, refining our processes, strengthening our cybersecurity services and finding new ways to deliver even greater value for our clients.
